"Gentle powerhouses" is the term used by one music producer to describe his experience working with The Boatwrights. Indeed, their tight family harmony has impressed seasoned artists, yet The Boatwrights remain humble and honored that God would allow them to share their talents and testimonies with others.
The young trio, based out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, is made up of identical twins, Elizabeth and Shelley, and their guitarist, Aaron, who also sings with the group as well. Their sound has a distinct country flair, something that the trio has naturally absorbed from the highly musical area they grew up and still live in. "It's what people around here call 'Muscle Shoals sound,'" notes Shelley, who sings soprano for the group.
While The Boatwrights put importance on performing and sounding their best, their main goal is that souls would come to know Christ through their ministry. They long to see God break the chains of those bound in sin, and to share the everlasting hope that they have found in Jesus Christ!
